AOL City Best - Cask N Flagon, Best Sports Bar

Baseball is king at the Cask 'n' Flagon, and Yankees fans beware you're stepping into hallowed grounds for pre- and post-Fenway madness. Spread out across two distinct rooms, the Cask makes no bones about its loyalty to the Red Sox."

Cask'n Flagon Named #2 Sports Bar by ESPN

In the shadows of Fenway Park's Green Monster, Red Sox fans find sausage vendors, ticket scalpers and usually a long line of thirsty patrons waiting to get inside "The Cask." The famous hangout, which is just a long foul ball from home plate, often accommodates as many as 5,000 patrons on a busy game day.

Where Red Sox Nation Likes to Eat

It was Game 1 of the World Series, but these people were not lining up to enter Fenway Pawk. They were all going into legendary Cask'n Flagon, the sports bar across the street that's nearly as big a Boston institution as Fenway.

Fans Enjoy Sox for Breakfast

"We never miss a Red Sox game. Ever," said Terry Boccelli, 47, of Stoneham, who got up at 4 a.m. with her husband to catch the game at the Cask'n Flagon. "If I didn't already have the day off, I'd have taken off from work to be here."
